  1. 1- Human environmental impact, toxic problems from mines waste, caused damage in billions of damage, weeds control, 200 mil. a year, forest management, forest fires, climate change friendly trade neighbors, hostile neighbors.
2- The repeatability of collapse after a society reaches its peak. After the society gets rich and good they collapse after.
3- A mismatch between available resources and resource consumption or economic out plays and economic potential, in a petri dish bacteria grows generations pass and the petri dish degrades.
4- The second common trend that emerges is there are many environment factors that make some societies for fragile than others.
5- The3 third and final trend is that civilizations did not realize what they were doing.
6- There is a conflict of interest between the short term of the decision making elites and long term interest of the society as a whole which are able to insulate themselves from whats going to happen.
7- The time bombs are water, soil, climate change, invasive species and population problems.
8- We need to solve our problems of water and soil and population but not toxins we would be in trouble.
9- It can not be maintained and the outcome wouldn't be solve until a few decades.
10- I think that Jared Diamond is hopeful from the future because he knows what hes saying and how we can prevent things that are happening, we just need more people e to listen to him and especially the government need to listen to him be he can help us avoid a collapse.

  2. 1- Human environmental impact, toxic problems from mines and a lot of damages that occur to the environments.example (climate change).

2.collapse after a society reaches its peak. when people gather there money, that intends to lead to a good thing.but that could led to a collapse.

    3. The similarities between both are available resources economic out plays and
In a petri dish bacteria grows generation pass.

4.The second common trend that emerges is where many environments make factors that makes societies.

5.The third final trend is that many civilizations wasnt thinking on what they was basically doing.

    6. generalizations created a blueprint for trouble because there were a lot of decisions between those generalizations short term making decisions.

7.The time bombs we are facing today are water and soil and climate changes.including
    Population problems.

8.We need to help our problems by gathering water and soil and to help our population.

9.It can not and would not be maintained until a few years.

    10. Yeas i do think hes helpful because he's explains in details that the environmental problems should be protected and good enough for the future to become and better future.we as a nation she listen to him because of his good ted talks videos he has put up to let people know that the world needs to become a better place in order to make the future a better place for the future.i do agree with him because we should listen to what he says,it would help the people understand the good talks he had given us.

  3. 1- He had failed the 5 points because of all the bad things that had happen such as Forest Fires, Climate Change, Mines, and Human harm
2- The first common thread of collapse is at its all time high they are know to collapse
3- Similarities between the collapse was that They both got mixed up with there resources and there economic situation was a mess
4- The second common thing that they had in common was they had many problems with the environment.
5- The third common trend was that they didnt realize how much harm they were doing
6- The blue print for trouble is the short term and the long term and seeing what is going to happen to them
7- 5 Ticking time bombs are soil, water, climate change, pollution and invasive species
8- We need to have all the right resources and enough of it so we dont run out of it and we have extra to prevent us from failing
9- Its dangerous because of the time that it would take to solve all of the problems
10- He is hopeful for the future because what he is planning sounds like a plan that will not fail , its a plan that if we continue to use in the right way its very rare that we can fail.

  4. 1. he failed the 5 points because of climate change, human environmental impact and toxic problems
    2. the first threat to happen towards collapse is trying to expand
    3. the similarities between collapse and bacteria is that is always a problem in nations
    4. the second common threat towards collapse is environmental problems
    5. the third common threat is civilization not realizing what there doing wrong
    6. creating a blueprint is know what you doing, know what you are using, finally know who's doing what. For example building a house each person in charge on what they do, also know the tools they working with and know how its gonna look like in the end
    7. the 5 ticking bombs we facing are limited resources, climate change, overpopulation, hostile neighbors and natural disasters
    8. important things we need for us not to have a collapse is learn to use resources, have a backup plan, strong government, good trading partners. i do agree. one reason is we have a backup plan if something goes wrong, another reason is we have a strong government so if something goes wrong they will help, finally is we good trading partners to help us with things we need
    9. its dangerous because if it goes wrong our nation might have problems
    10. Jared diamond is hopeful because he is showing what we are doing wrong

    2. According Jared Diamond the first common thread that emerges from the collapses of past and present societies is after their peaks because resources and economics.
    3. The similarities between collapses and bacteria in a petri dish mismatch between resources and consumption. Bacteria dish grows and doubles the size and keeps doubling until the highest it dies.
    4. According to Jared Diamond, the second common thread that emerges from the collapses of past and present societies is environmental factors. Like latitude, nutrients, water and rainfall.
    5. According to Jared Diamond, the third common thread that emerges from the collapses of past and present societies was to not tackle the problems and if we did not solving it.
    6. According to Jared Diamond generalizations that create a blueprint for trouble are the government trying to solve the problem and the people.
    7. 5 ticking time bombs we face today are water, soil, population problems, climate change and toxics.
    8. According to Jared Diamond, most important thing we need to do to avoid a collapse is to forget that there is 1 most important thing to solve. We need to solve all our problems equally because 1 problem not being solved can lead to a collapse.
    9. Non-sustainable course is a dangerous one because it will be solved by war.
    10. Jared Diamond is doubtful for the future because he is trying to tell everyone that the Philippines is going to lose its forest in 5 years and the Solomon’s are going to lose their forest in a year. He is saying that we will be in trouble if we don’t fix one problem we will collapse.

  10. 1- Montana fails all of Jared Diamond's 5 point frameworks which were: ~Human Environmental Impacts: toxic problems from mine waste, weeds we control, lost agricultural area salinization and forest fires. ~Climate Change: Montana is getting warmer and dryer, irrigation agriculture. ~Relation with Friendly's: Montana's income is dried from outer state, making it vulnerable.
~Hostile Neighbors: hostiles overseas are affecting oil supply and terrorist attacks.
~Political, Economic, Social Cultural: Montana has long held values which seems to be getting in their way today, long held devotions and had no government regulation.

2- According to Jared Diamond, the first common thread that emerges from the collapses of past and present societies is the repetition of a collapse after a society reaches it's peak. There are many societies that don't wind down gradually but they build up richer and more powerful. After, within a few decades after that peak, they collapse.

3- The similarities between collapses and bacteria in a petri dish is that they both had a mismatch between available or unavailable resources and economic out plays or economic potential.

4- According to Jared Diamond, the second common thread that emerges from the collapses of past and present societies is that there are many often environmental factors that make some societies more fragile than others and many of those factors are not often understood. One example is that Eastern Island ended up as the most devastating case of complete deforestation.

5- According to Jared Diamond, the third common thread that emerges from the collapses of past and present societies is that the civilizations did not know what they were doing and they did not perceive the impacts on the environment or stopped it in time.

6- According to Jared Diamond, the generalizations that create a blueprint for trouble are: a conflict of interest between the short term interest of the decision making elites and the long term interest of the society as a whole.

7- 6 ticking time bombs we face today are:
    ~ water ~ invasive species
    ~ soil ~ photosynthetic ceiling
~ climate change ~ population problems; etc.

8- According to Jared Diamond, the most important thing we need to do to avoid a collapse is to forget about there being any single thing that is the most important thing we need to do. One example is if we solve our problems of water, soil and population but don't solve our problems of toxins then we are in major trouble.

9- A non-sustainable course is a dangerous one because it cannot be maintained and the outcome is going to get resolved within a few decades. This means that those of us who are are less than 50 or 60 years old will see how these paradoxes are resolved and those of us over the age of 60 will not be able to see the resolution, but our children and grandchildren currently will.

10- I think Jared Diamond is doubtful for the future because he views the problems that we are facing today realizing that we aren't doing what were supposed to be doing, knowing that they are problems based on our own decision making but they are also not beyond our control.

  12. 1. Montana fails jared diamonds frame work because of the income coming from outside of the state has been dried. The waste from mines, waste, weeds and the lost of forest from fires. Terroist from overseas are affecting the oil supply and terroist attacks, fused with an already poisioned atmosphere and sad social culture that wont change and no government regulation.
    2. The common thread that emergers from collapses of the past are a cycle of the civlization reaching it's peak then falling from there on out. They build richer and stronger but eventually fall.
    3. The similarities between collapses and bacteria in a petri dish is they mismatch and don't belong. Unavalbile resources economic problems.
    4. Many environmental factors contribute to the collapse of nations, it;s the second common thread brought up for example the eastern island and it's use of the tress.
    5. The third common thread that emerges from the collapses of the past and present socieites is the lack of foresight for actions commited. Not seeing the long term cause of their actions.
    6. Jareds blueprint for collapse is that a conflic of interest between short term and the long term of the societies health
    7. Ticking time bombs we face Water pollution0- invasive species-photosynthetic ceiling- climate change- population problems
    8. The most important thing to avoid collapse is to keep our minds on the collapse 24/7 it's the most imporant thing in our lifes and forgetting about them won't stop the pollution it's a problem we need to solve.
    9. A non sustanible course is a dangerous one because it's in the name. It can't last what happens 50-60 years from now, what do we do? If we solve the problem of pollution what will we do for our children that inherrit the arid dustbowl that we will create if we don't stop the pollution.
10.Jared Diamond is doubtful for the future because he has seen the path we are on. He see's the problems we are suffering from and we have not put more emphasis on it. We will collapse like Easter island, Rome, and anasazi
