the story of the Anasazi.
1. This documentary is told from the second person view because it's telling us about the collapse of this empire and is quoting and interviewing Jared diamond
ReplyDelete2. These ruins can help scientist determine why a civilization collapse because
- it can point out weak points within the civilization
- it can get people to understand the governmental structure
- this can also show population of the civilization and how many
Individuals they have to support
3. The potential success and the collapse are similar because the decision they made could have helped the community and improve it also but all sacrifices have risk.
4.i agree because one day a leader can come into office and make a decision that will destroy our economy and put us in a depression.
5. Both civilizations are impressive because they were built from scratch and they didn't really have machinery to help them build the structures they did.
6.the population growth lead to the collapse because they had to build more living spaces for the people and they probably didn't have the money
7. Because they depended on the rain water to support them so they saved as much water as they could.
8. I think the collapse was inevitable because you can't really control weather and change the environment around you
9. their irrigation systems because it helped them collect water
10. That we have the technology to do things and they didn't so we're just more advanced than them but most off out architecture comes from them.

1. The video is at the perspective of a civilization after america looking at how we fell, because jared diamonds theory of collapse this could very well happen to us. However; i know this because of the sentences used and how they set up the suriviors as being from 2210 (from the future looking back)
ReplyDelete2. The ruins of a civlization could leave hints on how the civiliazation before them lived and operated. How they treated there people and equally as important there enviourment. For example tree rings could show if the civilization was hit by a drought. The drawings or illustrations could show how they spent there days, buliding could show how they lived and how it affected there enviourment
3. A civilizations choices make them who they are. For example if a civilization decides to make many enemies and are stingy about trade and how they treat there enviourment, they could doom themseleves. Another example the Chaka had a belief that a rain dance from a shaman would cause rain; however a drought is not something you can 100% control so that led to a downfall socially and belief in there "government" fell
4. Our modern civilization cannot fall. The amount of technology avalible today and how connected everyone is would stop this from happening. The world is arleady interconnected they depend on each other in more ways than any of us could imagine. Before a situation developed bad enough that a civlization is on the brink of collapse we would find a way or compromise for the future. My final reason is how powerful government and technology is today, If a civilization did collapse it would take decades maybe even a century for it to occur. The buildings were big and was kind of a statement against nature
5. The Anasazi were able to form and connect a city that connected over 150 communities at it's peak, Even with it being so hot and almost desolate
6. CAUSE: BUILT MORE THAN THEY COULD SUSTAIN AND HAD MORE POPULUS THEN THEY HAD PREPARED FOR. LIVING ON THE EDGE AND BUILDING A CIVLIZATION SOMEWHERE THAT HAD ENVIOURMENTAL DRAW BACKS TO BEGIN WITH EFFECT: SOMETHING LIKE A DROUGHT COULD HARM ANASAZI SPECIALLY WATER IS THE ONLY THING THEY CAN'T IMPORT.
7: The civilizaiton was already fed up with strive from politcal and social conditions of their city. So when water stops coming from a drought something that elites promised was in their control they get fed up blame the shaman or chief and decide to split up.
8: The anasazi were doomed from the start they already built an eviourment with many drawbacks to challenge nature almost. Then the influx of social and political drawbacks and misfires and building more than they could acomidate for.
9: The anasazi tried to conenctrate on pueblos and things they could handle. The pueblo people remember the mistakes and built according to their enviourment
10: DON'T USE MORE THAN WHAT YOU HAVE, FALSE PROMISES CAN LEAD TO A SWELL OF STRESS FOR PEOPLE, DON'T ABUSE AND OVERUSE THE ENVIOURMENT IT'S BAD AND WILL CATCH UP TO YOU
(QURAY CLARKE) EMERSON STUDENT JULY/6/2015
1. This documentary is told by another Person veiw about the collapse.
ReplyDelete2.the ruins can help scientist determine why civilization Collapse by
-weaknesses in civilization
-people understanding structures
-the population of civilization
3.the connection between both are a success because the good reason they had in mind could help build up.
4.i agree with that because structures will need to be build more stronger so thatbit wont callapse.
5.what made them both so impressive is that they was build by hand and it was created in my opinion.
6.The population growth led to a collapse because there was giving living things for the people.
7.the 50 year drought because of the site of a major climate
8.inevitable is what i think because the Area of the environment has lots of weather in the Area.
9.what i think is the irrigation because it help the people find things they need in use of help.
10.some are that we have things to help us with a situation basically tec in my opinion.
1) This documentary is told from a second person p.o.v , I know this because in the video it shows aspects of another person telling the downfall of an empire.
ReplyDelete2) Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed by population growth , food surplus & the centralized government being weaken . These are all things that can ruin and make a society collapse.
3) The connection between potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions they make is that we as people all have that option to make sure our society becomes a success or make it collapse . we can help make our economy stronger and better but it's at our own risk if we make it go downhill
4) I disagree with many experts that our modern day industrialization could fall apart. because American society has become very advanced . Even tho we could fall I feel like we can bring our society back up because the way technology is so advanced these days. If we continue to have a good amount of population, and production and it doesn't increase and we continue to have a strong government we could maintain society just the way it is now .
5) what made the Anasazi Civilization and the Chaco Canyon so impressive was that there civilization was built from scratch and they didn't really have any machinery to build it & it turned out to be good .
6) The rapid population growth cause a collapse in that civilization because , the more people mean more over production and people didn't really have money & as the population increase they had to use their land to create more homes and this effected the economy and led to a downfall .
7) The 50 year drought was the last straw because the people were so fed up that the economy had collapsed. The depended so much on the resources in the economy but the social and loving conditions were so bas because of the drought people began to split apart because these conditions messed up their environment .
8) I think the collapse of the Anasazi was avoidable because they built more then what they needed to and they had many challenges with the economy already .
9) The pueblos is what helped the Anasazi attempt to rebuild the city . They pueblos helped because as they build the city they remember all the mistakes they made and helped the Anasazi to rebuild their environment according to their mistakes .
10) A lesson the US can learn from the story of the Anasazi is to not let the economy fall because of the mistakes we made in the past . It will only get harder and it can also risk us in the future .
- Brittany Ross
1:The document was told by a scientist perspective because in the video it was shown that scientist were doing research about how the civilization collapsed.
ReplyDelete2: Ruins can help to compare and to contrast other civilizations not only that but also show the challenges that the civilizations faced.
3: The collapse and potential success are most likely the same, it all depends on the choices we make, all choices has a specific risk one must take. The thing that made them what they were was the choices they made.
4:I agree with this statement. Modernized civilizations can fall based on our actions and our choices.
5: In Chaco Canyon there was the largest structures. It was also a attraction site for people. The Anasazi built their cities in Chaco Canyon
6: Since there was and increase in population they began building bigger structures which were too much to maintain.
7: It was called the last straw because the civilization was already damaged by political and social strife.
8: The collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because it was a matter out of their reach, they couldn't have done anything to stop the drought.
9: The solutions that helped them was breaking up into smaller communities called pueblos.
10: A lesson which can be learnt by the United Stares is that they can from the mistakes of the past civilizations and ensure our survival.

1. This documentary is from the perspective of different archeologists, looking and determining how the Anasazi civilization collapsed. In the video, it shows different types of scientists, analyzing the Choco Canyon, where the Anasazi once lived, and the Anasazi civilization.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins can show how the civilization was structured and how organized a civilization was. Ruins can show if the people in that civilization had not destroyed the civilization by ruining the environment. It can also show some weaknesses that the civilization had.
3. It's basically like a chain reaction. The decisions that civilizaton has made contributes to the falll or success of a civilization. For example, the Anasazi made the decision to move from Chaco Canyon because the canyon was experiencing severe drought for over 50 years. They ended up having many droughts for over 150 years after that.
4. Our civilization one day could fall because of 3 reasons. Our government can become dysfunctional and can turn on it's people any second, we can have tension in our country and destroy it from the inside out, and the countries that we have as allies can turn on us.
5. What makes the Anasazi so impressive is the fact that they survived off of one resource which was water and what makes the Chaco Canyon so impressive is the structure of the land itself.
6. Overpopulation calls for less food and less water so when the drought happened, there was barely anything so they were forced to move out. They built more than they could keep up so that cost them alot.
7. The civilization had enough problems on thier hand, since there were alot of cracks in their political system so when the drought happened, people started to not trust the government since the higher powers believed they had the water controlled so they decided to move from the area, causing the collapse.
8. The collapse of the Anazasi civilization was inevitable due to the continuous errors like the over construction, the dysfunctional government, and the envirmonent was very bad to start with.
9. When the Anazasi civilization disbanded, they went into smaller groups called pueblos and those worked because they realized the mistakes with the Anazasi and worked them out in thier new civilizations that they started out in.
10. Learn from your mistakes because continuous errors do not work out for a country. Hoping for the best does not get you anywhere but doing actions will. Do not lie to the citizens because it will come back around to at some point in time.
1- This documentary is told from a second person ,its telling us about the empire which had collapse.
ReplyDelete2-The ruins of a civilization can help the scientist why the collapse happened because of weaknesses in civilization ,people understanding structures , and the population of civilization.
3-The connection between the potential success and collapse of a society and the decisions that they make was to help everyone have improvements and to build up a better impact.
4-I agree with this claim because if a person comes and takes over them he can ruin everything and it will end up a bad impact and which would lead to any compromise between them.
5-The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon was so impressive because without any kind of machines they had built from scratch and the building structures too without any type of machines.
6-The rapid population growth and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi was that because they had to build some more spots for the people who need houses to live therefore they had to built more living houses and who didn't have any money or a house.
7-The 50year drought was the they wanted to have water they had a habit of the water climate which is rain.
8- I think the collapse was out of control weather and it had changed up the population ,environment because of climate change.
9- The solutions that work for Anasazi attempted to rebuild they collapse society was splitting into small groups pueblos and irrigation systems was that it helped them collect water
10- That we have mind ,inventions , and technology to build things and they can get back again what had collapse it did but they can built it again.
-Harwinder Singh
1. This is told from a secondary source because its Jared diamond
ReplyDeletewho is a scientist the empire that had fallen
2. Ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapse because it shows the geographic location of the place, the resources they had around them and how did they use the resources around them.
3. The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make is that they can either ruin their empire/country or make it a success. For example.if they don't take care of their environment such as plants, the plants can die and the plants could've been a main source of food for them. Or a river, the river is their main source of water and if they dirty the water and don't take care of it, it can eventually start harming people who are drinking it.
4. Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. I agree because we are cutting down trees which we need, causing global warming that can end the world and also our invention of nuclear bombs can destroy the whole world within seconds.
5.What makes the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive is that they had a huge population and used their resources well. They were doing good and didn't think that their empire would collapse.
6. The rapid population growth and increase in construction began the collapse of the Anasazi because they had do build more shelters but not enough resources and/or beasts of burden
7.The 50-year drought was the “last straw” because they needed water to survive
8. Based on the video I think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because they didn't have any geographic luck, no beasts of burden and they had droughts.
9. Solutions that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society was breaking into small groups called pueblos and also their irrigation system that helped them collect water.
10. Lessons a modern nation like the United States learn from the story of the Anasazi.is to use our natural resources properly, not to destroy our natural resource and to learn from their mistakes

3- The potential success and the collapse are similar because the decision they made could have helped the community and improve it also but all sacrifices have risk.
4- I agree because the amount of pollution that is in the air because of humans and our factories its creating a whole in our ozone layer which can expose us to UV rays which can cause censer.
5- Both civilizations are impressive because they were built from scratch and they didn't have the machinery to help them build the structures they did.
6- The population growth lead to the collapse because they had to build more living spaces for the people and they probably didn't have the money.

1.This document is in the people from the future's perspective, Titled collapse on Jared diamonds book.
ReplyDelete2.Ruin help determine why civilizations collapsed by giving them clues how the civilizations looked like, how old they are where they are located. Also if it was caused by men or if it was cause by natural causes the ruins give us hints for how they collapsed.
3. The connection between potential success and collapse is that one decision could have made the civilization better or they can fail and bring everything down
4. Major inventions mean that people will have to get use to more things sometimes those inventions won't turn out how expected and humans may or may not be able to change fast enough. Machines also come with pollution and waste. Companies will soon have a word in important discussions and people might turn agents them.
5. They started form nothing and soon started expanding the population started to grow they had a city and had the highest buildings before buildings like today's were made.
6. They had to many people not enough resources like water.
7. The civilization was weak because of its political and social problems.
8. It could have been avoidable if their population wasn't so high.
9. The Anasazi stayed in smaller groups called pueblos.
10. The U.S.A can learn by not using as ore then we need we have everything at our reach and only cause we have it at our reach doesn't give us the right to waste it because not everyone has what we do and we might someday run out

1. The document is told from the perspective of our descendants that survived the collapse of our society. In the video is states that a day after our downfall the survivors will find out what caused the collapse.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapse by allowing the scientists to inspect something that can show a trace of what happened to society.
- The way an item was destroyed can show weather climate caused the collapse
- An item could have come from another area of the world, therefore showing hostile neighbors
- An item can also show what kind of government we had
3. The connection of potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make choose the fate of the society, it can make or break it. For example, the Anasazi settled in an area that over time was in a drought for 50 years. Soon enough they had to migrate and split into groups which lead to the end of the Anasazi but the beginning of the pueblos.
4. I agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart because the decisions our government has made are not really to benefit us as the people but for them to have even more control. Also because we have a low economy and are already in a lot of debt, and a natural disaster can occur at any time.
5. What makes the Anasazi civilization impressive is that were able to form a city out of their surroundings and lack of valuable resources like water.
6. Cause: they built more than they can endure and lived in area that wasn’t prepared or great for the size of population and unequal amount of resources harmed the society’s fate.
7. The 50 year long drought was the last straw because they were dependent of the rain water to keep them alive. Once that stopped coming they grew angry and split up to find their own resources.
8. I believe the collapse of the Anasazi was avoidable because if they settled in an area where rain water was plentiful they would have never split up.
9. The solutions worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society because once they became the Pueblos they focus on each group and what they could handle and what they were capable of.
10. The lessons a modern nation like the Anasazi is to be accustomed to anything that can happen weather natural causes, over population, or economic values.
1. This document was is in the people from a secondary perspective .
ReplyDelete2.Ruin help determine why civilizations collapsed by giving them clues how the civilizations looked like, how old they are where they are located.
3. The connection between potential success and collapse is that things can get done in the right way and improve your society or it can turn around and backfire and lead to failure
4. I agree with this claim because if we get taken over everything can get destroyed in seconds.
5. They were both started from scratch and they both had started to expand and they started to become more modernized.
6. They had to many people not enough resources like water and shelter to protect the people from danger.
7. The civilization was weak because of its political and social problems.
8. It could have been avoidable if their population wasn't so high and they had the right supply to shelter the people and have supplies
9. The Anasazi stayed in smaller groups called pueblos. they remember all the mistakes they made and helped the Anasazi to rebuild their Society back up
10. Places like the u.s can learn from this so they can see what mistakes other people had made and how t avoid them and prepare them self if they had made the same mistake
-Kevin D
1.this documentary is told by the narrator talking about ruins that have collapse and researchers wonder if our towns will collapse in the future.
ReplyDelete2.After the sixth century the Anasazi of chaco canyon and other settlements abandoned hunting and gathering in favor of cultivating crops such as maize.to grow maize, they needed rain, but the area was dry and rain that did fall was kept and used casually and effectively.
3.the connection is that they did succeed by making their ruins however the cause of the collapse was based probably because they had a low water source which caused them to leave and abandon the ruins.
4.I think this is true because the people who lived in the ruins build their place just like we did, if they build their structures and they collapse what makes us not think our structures wont collapse.
5.Its impressing because its an urban design many of ledgends made these structures.
6.the rapid growth of the population had increased to the point that they probably didn't have any other alternative which caused it to collapse as the effect.
7.Because they needed water to survive and without they all will have died.
8.It was unavoidable because the place they were living in had a low precipitation which means no water, also temperatures may have increased which caused dehydration.
9.Some solutions worked like when they split up in to different groups and smaller groups had collected water.
10.To not have are built structures collapse and take care of our environment.
-Bryannah Jeudy
1. This documentary is being through perspective of several archaeologists. In the documentary the archaeolgosts are trying to determine the contributing factors of the collapse of ancient civilzations.
ReplyDelete2. with the knowleg of how the ancient civilization were set up they can have a better understanding of what the civilization lacked.
3. The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and decision they decide is, the decision they make will affect the outcome of that society. For example chaco canyon.
4. I disagree because modern industrialization are machine made.
5. Anasazi are impressive because they survived off a single resource which was water and Chaco Canyon is impressive because the structure of the land .
6. increase in population they began building bigger structures which were too much to maintain.
7.The leaders of the chao canyons didn't keep their promises
8. It was unavoidable because they could not control the weather
9. irrigation system
10. prepare for the worst
1- This documentary is told from the second person view because it's telling us about the collapse of this empire and is quoting and interviewing Jared diamond
ReplyDelete2- It can help scientist determine why a civilization collapsed because the ruins can get people to understand governmental structure. It can also show the amount people in the civilization that support them.
3-The connection between the potential success and the collapse of a society and the decisions they make is to help everyone improve.
4.I agree because one day a leader could come into office and make a decision that could destroy the economy. I also agree because the amount of pollution that's in the air because of humans and our factories can create a hole in our ozone layer.
5.The thing that makes both civilizations so impressive is that they had a large population and they both used their resources well. They didn't think that their empire would collapse because they were doing so well.
6.The population growth led to the collapse of the civilizations because they had to build living spaces for the people and they didn't have enough resources to have such a big population.
7.When the drought happened, people started not to trust the government since higher powers believed they had the water controlled so they decided to vacate from that area which led to the collapse.
8.I think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because you don't control weather and you also can't change the environment around you. The civilization couldn't have done anything to stop the drought.
9.The Anasazi attempted to rebuild the collapsed society that was split into smaller groups called pueblos and the irrigation systems helped them collect water.
10. A lesson that can be learned from by the United States is that they can study and learn from the mistakes of past civilizations and make sure we all stay alive . Another lesson that can be learned is to not let the economy fail because of the mistakes made in the past . It will only get worse and can risk the country in the future .

Delete1- The documentary is being told from a second person point of view due to the explaining on how the empire collapsed back in society.
ReplyDelete2- Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed by the widespread famine, weakness in government and/or the centralized population of the civilization.
3- The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make is basically all the same. See we ourselves get to choose whether we want the civilization to become an extreme success or become a huge downfall. It is all based upon the decisions we make or what we set our minds to.
4- I agree with many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart if 1) the government doesn't take advantage of the society’s huge potential for growth. 2) If our actions attempt to make the civilization worse. 3) If the government makes a wrong decision leading us to complete devastation.
5- What makes the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive is that they were both built from scratch on pure dry land without any machinery being included to make the structures of it.
6- The rapid population growth and increase in construction began the collapse of the Anasazi because since there was a major increase in the population, the people had to build more homes, taking up more land space; but barely had the money to pay for it.
7- The 50-year drought was the “last straw” because there has been too much social and political problems and the people thought that drought was one of the major ones for causing their civilization to split up and move to different areas.
8- Based on the video I think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable due to the fact that weather can't be controlled/stopped, so no matter what drought would've still occurred at any time of the day.
9- The solution that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society was the small communities they made called Pueblos, which helped them revise their mistakes and make the civilization even better.
10- A lesson that a modern nation like the United States can learn from the story of the Anasazi is to not make any mistakes because sometimes those mistakes can lead to stressful situations later on.

1. This documentary is told from a second person view because its telling about the collapse of the empire and is quoting and interviewing of Jared Diamond.
ReplyDelete2. Ruin can help the scientist determine why a civilization collapsed because it gives the people to understand the governmental structure. Also it shows the amount of people in the civilization to support them.
3. The connection between the potential success and the collapse of society is the decisions made to help improve everyone. The decision that will outcome the society.
4.I agree that our modern industrialization nation could fall apart and collapse due to the cutting down of trees leading into global warming. Also the pollution in the air causing the ozone level to cause UV rays and that can lead into cancer.
5. The thing that makes both civilizations impressing is that they had less resources and large populations and not enough living space.
6. The population growth led to the collapse of the civilizations because they had to build large spaces for people with not enough resources.
7. People started to not trust the government when the drought happened because since higher powers believed that they had water controlled so they decided to vacate from that area which led into collapsing.
8. I believe the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because you cant control weather and you also cant change the environment. The civilization couldn't have done anything to stop the drought.
9. The Anasazi attempted to rebuild the collapsed society that was split into smaller groups pueblos and the irrigation systems helped them collect water.
10. A lesson the can be learned from the United States is that they can study and learn the pre mistakes from the past civilizations. Also not to let the economy fail because of the mistakes of the past is the outcome of the future.

1. This document is told from a second person point of view. I know this because throughout the video a scientist is describing the downfall of the Anasazi civilization. Also throughout the video, Jared Diamond is being interviewed.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins help scientists determine how the civilization collapsed by leaving alot of information behind. For example, ruins can help archeologist determine how big the civilization was, the population, the tools used by the people of the civilization, and even the technological advancements and engineering skills the civilization had.
3. The connection between the potential successs and the collapse of a society is that the outcome is based on the decisions made by the civilization as a whole. Decisions made today that can help the civilization grow can also backfire and outcome in a collapse tommorow.
4. I agree with this because the nation as a whole has a great impact on global warming and pollution. Also nobody knows when the economy can crash and everything will be a disaster.
5. What makes the Anasazi Civilization and the Choko canyon so impressive is that they were both large civilizations with many people. Also, both civilizations started from nothing and were able to build many big building structures by hand with no machinery and they all survived for a very long period of time on water and very little food.
6. Rapid population growth resulted in the people building more housing structures to live in. Building these housing structures left very little space for crops and other resources, so when there was a drought, there werent enough resources to keep everyone alive.
7. THe 50 year drought was the last straw because people were already mad they had political and economical problems with the government. The government had told the people they had complete controll over the rain and water supply so when the drought took place, people got fed up and split up
8. In my opinion, the collapse of the Anasazi civilization could have been avoided. It couldve been avoided by making more people live in 1 house or making the houses smaller, leaving enough farm space to feed every home. Also the people could have used rivers or streams for their water supply rather than just rain.
9. When the civilization slit up they were in small groups called pueblos. they ended up being more successful because they learned from past mistakes and used irrigation systems to get and consume water.
10. A lesson that the US can learn from this is that they should always have enough resources for everyone before they let more people into the us. Also the US should learn to preserve their space and try not to ruin the environment as much.
~ Yusuf Ally
1.This document is told by Jared Diamond's perspective and people who will study archaeology and collapse in the future.
ReplyDelete2.These ruins can help scientist determine why a civilization collapse because its shed light on a civilizations weak points, what they did wrong trying to attain food and what kind government their society had.
3.The connection between potential success or collapse of a society is if you do the right thing civilization it can thrive and can become even a empire but not doing the right for the civilization can cause it to collapse like Anasazi people in Chaco Canyon.
4.I do agree agree with this what we are doing isn't that much different for what other civilization have done that cause them to collapse, if any thing we are worst. three reasons why is because of deforestation, we impact of environment severely and we cause climate change. This all can cause the collapse of a civilization.
5.what made the Anasazi Civilization and the Chaco Canyon so impressive was that there civilization was built from the ground up and they didn't really have any machine like today to build it & became a great achievement and also connect a city that connected over 150 communities.
6. Since there was and increase in population they began building bigger structures which were too much to maintain and more people mean resources being used.
7. The 50 year long drought was the last straw because their whole society depended on the rain water as their water supply. when rain stopped fall they knew they could not stay any longer.
8. its was inevitable because weather can not be can be controlled.

Second- the population of the civilization.
Third- it also shows the weakness in the civilization.
3) The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make could either make a society prosper or have a great downfall.
4) Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. Yes I agree that our modern nation could fall apart. With the way people treat the environment and how corrupt things are, our modern industrialized nation could collapse very soon. For example according to the video Farmers are being forced to cut down their trees and certain countries have to now save water.
5) Both civilizations survived on water an the structure of the land was impressive.
6) Due to the drought. They were forced to move out. it was over populated and there was not enough resources.

8) Based on the video I think the collapse of Anasazi was unavoidable. they cant stop a drought.
9) Solutions such as building pueblos worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society.
10) Lessons modern nation like the United States can learn from the story of the Anasazi is don't waste our resources. stop destroying land that us important to our environment to build unnecessary things. One day technology is going to fail.

4) I believe that even our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. In the documentary it states Chaco Canyon fell due to a 50 year drought even when the civilization was prospering so well. This shows how even though our society is so strong things like a dramatic climate change can extremely change a society.
5)The Anasazi civilization and the Chaco Canyon were so impressive because their architecture & large population. They used the resources they had very well till they no longer had them.
6)The people built more then they can handle and ended up abandoning it.
7) The 50 year drought was the last straw because it caused the people to completely lose faith and trust in their government. It was the "higher powers" job to make it rain and bring water for the people.
8) Based on the documentary, the collapse of the civilization was inevitable. The collapse was due to weather change which no one could predict or even plan for at that time.
9)The Anasazi people broke up it to what were called Pueblos (small groups of people) in order to try to rebuild the civilization.
10)Modern nations like the U.S can learn from Anasazi. They now know there most be a plan in case of extreme drastic events like extreme weather.

1) this documentary is told from second person, because it talks about the collapse of civilizations and achaeologists
ReplyDelete2)the ruins can help determine why a civilization collapses by the location of the place and it shows how much the people supported the civilization.
3) The connection between potential success and the collapse of society is the decisions that everyone is making for the society whether its good or bad
4) I agree with the claim that our modern industrialized nation can fall apart, if they don't communicate, and also by making wrong decisions that'll lead up to the fall.
5) The civilizations were impressive, because they lacked resources and had a large number of population.
6) Rapid population growth and and an increase of construction began the collapse of the anasazi, because they had to build large structures for many people and didn't have enough resources to do that.
7) The 50-year drought was considered the 'last straw', because the people started to give up on the government because of the false promises.
8) based on the video, I think that the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable, because they lacked many resources and had a large population.they failed to build larger structures for the people, so the civilization would eventually collapse.
9) The solutions that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society was to break down into small groups known as the pueblos, and it gave them a chance to not make the same mistakes again.
10) A lesson that a modern nation like the united states can learn after reading the Anasazi Story, is to make right decisions. be prepared for sacrifices, such as not having a high population, so you don't have to build large structures and use any resources.

ReplyDelete2) Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed by population growth , food surplus & the centralized government being weakened . These are all things that can ruin and make a society collapse.
3) The connection between potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions they make are made when we as people all have either choose to make sure our society becomes a success or A failure. The economies fait is in the hands of its society.
4) I disagree with many experts that our modern day industrialization could fall apart. because American society has become very technologically advanced . It alson has strong alies allowing us to maintain a stable economy and can be called very diverse, being a country built by immigrants.
5) what made the Anasazi Civilization and the Chaco Canyon so impressive was that there civilization was built from scratch with little to no machinery, and turned out fantastic.
6) The rapid population growth caused a collapse in that civilization because , the more people meant more mass production With a poverty filled society.
7) The 50 year drought was the last straw because the people were so fed up that the economy had collapsed. They depended so much on the resources in the economy but the social conditions were terrible due to the drought people began to split leaving the environment terribly voulnerable.
8) I think the collapse of the Anasazi was avoidable because they built more then what they needed to and they had many challenges with the economy to begin with.
9) The pueblos were what helped the Anasazi attempt to rebuild the city . They pueblos helped because as they built the city they remember all the mistakes they made and helped the Anasazi to rebuild their environment according to their mistakes .
10) A lesson the US can learn from the story of the Anasazi is to not let the economy fall because of the mistakes we made in the past . It will only get worse and put us at risk in the future.

1. The documentary is told from second person's perspective. They explain the collapse of a civilization and also the possibility of it happening to us in a couple of decades. While also interviewing scientist Jared Diamond.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed by showing the challenges they faced, the population of the civilization and also the structure of the government.
3. The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make is that risks are being made and it can either help your civilization get stronger or weaken and eventually lead to a downfall.
4. I disagree with the claim that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. One reason why I disagree is due to our amount of knowledge. We are smart enough to learn from previous mistakes and discontinue any issues our nation may have that can cause a downfall. Another reason why I disagree is because of how powerful we are as a nation. Due to being such a powerful nation, it would be very difficult or take a very long time for us to collapse if it even has a chance of happening. Also, American society today is very advanced specifically in technology making it easy to maintain a healthy civilization.
5. What makes the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive is they lived in the largest architectural structures around their time.
6. Rapid population growth and increase in construction began the collapse of the Anasazi. Over time the population in their city began to grow and they began building more and taller buildings which was becoming too much. This led to a social and political strife in their civilization.
7. The 50-year drought was the "last straw" because after the drought they could no longer stay in the dry area due to water being their most depended on resource so they decided to leave Chaco Canyon.
8. Based on the video, I think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable. One reason being the fact that the population grew rapidly and they had to divide their resources with a larger amount of people which made it more scarce. Another reason is the overdue in construction. Finally, it was unavoidable due to the fact that they could not prevent the drought from happening due to their civilization being in such a dry hot area.
9. The solutions that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed was society was giving up and simplifying by breaking up and moving into smaller communities called Pueblos.
10. Lessons a modern nation like the United States can learn from the story of Anasazi is to not overpopulate our nation, have many beneficial that have a good ratio to our population, and overall don't repeat the same mistakes they did.

ReplyDeletethe document is being told by a narrator. The reason why i think the document is being told by a narrater is because the video is giving the events on what could happen in 50 years.
2. ruins could help scientists determine why a civilization collaps
one reason why i think ruins could scientists determine why a civilization collaps is that many of the city's are now abandoned.
another reason why i think ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collaps is that our moderate cililazation could fall apart one day .
A Third reason why i think ruins help scientists determine why a civilization will collaps is that we would loss everything that we came successful in.

the connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make? one connection is that Chaco was connected to 100, 000 communities, many of the deciosion they could be very difficult.
4. i think the modern industrialized would fail.
one of the reasons why i think it would fail is because many of the people wouldnt think on making strong building
6. many of the population growth is starting to increase and many new technology is starting to get stronger and many people are working and keeping the life going. and a control of water.
7. the reason why it was a 50-year drought the “last straw" is because the season rain didn't come and the reason whytgey call it the last straw was beacause they didnt have that much water.
8. i think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable, i think it could have been avoidable one way it could have been avoided what is by making stronger buildings and getting more water and getting as much armoire as you need this.
9. many solutions worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society by building strong water and stronger building.
10. Many of the lessons could be taught in the United States by taking it step by step and trying to be organized and this sofa is not organized they would be alot chaos.
1-This documentary is told from a second person view because its telling about the collapse of the empire and is quoting and interviewing of Jared Diamond.
ReplyDelete2- It can help scientist determine why a civilization collapsed because the ruins can get people to understand governmental structure. It can also show the amount people in the civilization that support them.
3-The connection between the potential success and collapse of a society and the decisions that they make was to help everyone have improvements and to build up a better impact.
4- i agree because one day a leader can come into office and make a decision that will destroy our economy and put us in a depression.
5- Both civilizations are impressive because they were built from scratch and they didn't have the machinery to help them build the structures they did.
6. They had to many people not enough resources like water and shelter to protect the people from danger.
7- Because they depended on the rain water to support them so they saved as much water as they could.
8: The collapse of the Anises was inevitable because it was a matter out of their reach, they couldn't have done anything to stop the drought.
9) The pueblos is what helped the Anises attempt to rebuild the city. They pueblos helped because as they build the city they remember all the mistakes they made and helped the Anises to rebuild their environment according to their mistakes.
10. That we have the technology to do things and they didn't so we're just more advanced than them but most off out architecture comes from them.
1- This documentary is told in third person. This is because its being told from an observers point of view (Jared Diamond's).
ReplyDelete2- Ruins can help scientist and archeologists discover structures from the past, the materials used to built that structure, and how old it is.
3- -The connection between the potential success or the collapse of a society and the decisions they made was that they made decisions without thinking about the longterm effect. Yes you can make decisions that will solve a problem "for now" , but you have to think about how that decision will effect the future. Thats why their societies kept collapsing, due to their inability of decision making.
4- I agree with the statement because there are a lot of things that can make our modern industrialized nation fall apart. As it is, the economy is really bad. People are becoming poorer and prices are being increased everywhere. Also, if the wrong person takes over, we can definitely collapse. They didnt think about the long term effects. Thats why our country is the way it is, because of poor decisions made in the past.
5- The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon are so impressive because they both started/built their civilizations with natural resources around them.
6- The population growth led to the collapse of the civilizations because there were too many people and not enough natural resources to build more structures.
7- The 50 year old drought was the "last straw" because the resources were going. Thats when they then decided to leave and go settled down elsewhere.
8- Based on the video, I think the collapse of the Anasazi was avoidable. They were so reliant on their natural resources. They should have known eventually they'll run out of resources. Especially, since the population was going up.
9- The solutions that worked for the Anasazi civilization was them splitting into smaller groups, pueblos, and their irrigation system so they could get water easier than before.
10- The lessons a modern nation like the United States could learn from the story of the Anasazi is think about your decisions before you make them because they might not be helpful in the longrun. The Anasazi used all their natural resources. It seemed great while they were doing that, but they ended up leaving and settling elsewhere. Therefore, the U.S. should think about their decisions before they make them since history seems to repeat itself .

1. It's being told from second person because there telling you about the collapse of the society.
ReplyDelete2.Ruins can help determine why a civilization collapsed because it could show you the reason why it collapsed. Such as if it was due to weathering, droughts or if it was there government.Using these objects we find we could make inferences about past civilizations.
3.The connection between potential success or collapse is based on the decisions you make, according to Jared Diamond, its the choices you make that leads you to successful civilization or failed civilization. For example the Anasazi suffered from a 50 year drought, they did everything they could, but after they left there city and left in communities known as pueblos.
4.I agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. Our government is already in debt which could led us to our downfall at anytime. Another reason could be that with many industries being built and cars and buses being used it could contribute to air pollution. Another major reason could be droughts, such as in California, though i doubt it could be big problem,a drought could turn California into a ghost town just like it did to the Anasazi .
5. They were both impressive because they used their surroundings to form their own city.
6.Cause: They built more then they could handle and had population growth
Effect: Lacked Resources for people like water
7.The 50 year long drought was the last straw because out of all the issues going on with the Anasazi, this was major one which led them to split up and look for resources
8.I think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because the weather or a drought is not something that could be controlled. Even if they did prepare for a drought before hand, they wouldn't of had water to last them 50 years.
9.The solution that worked for the Anasazi as an attempt to re build there collapsed society is they broke off into smaller communities known as pueblos in which they learned from their past mistake in an attempt to create a better civilization
10.Something the U.S. can learn from the story of the Anasazi is prepare for the worst or for the future instead of focusing on your present well being. Anything could happen at anytime.

5.)The Anasazi civilzation and the Chaco canyon where so impressive because they architecture in a very big population.

5.Actually both civilizations are impressive, because they were both built from scratch
& they didn't have machinery to help them build the structures they did then.
6. Because they built more than they can take on and they lived in a area that wasn’t prepared or great for the size of the population and unfair amount of resources harmed the society’s fate.
7. So the 50 year long drought was the last straw because, they were dependent on the rain water to keep them alive to live on. So once that stopped coming they grew angry and split up to find their own resources for living on.
8. I believe the collapse of the Anasazi was totally avoidable because if they thought to settled in an area where they would get plenty of water they would have never split up to begin with.
9. The solutions worked for the Anasazi as they tried to attempted to rebuild their collapsed society because, once they had became the Pueblos they actually focus more on each group and what they could handle and what they were capable of doing.
10. The lessons a modern nation like the Anasazi is to be familiarize to anything that can happen to where you live so you have to make sure it's protected by any weather natural causes, like even over population, or economic values.

1. The perspective the video is taken in is in a secondary perspective, because the scientist concluded the collapse of America by the year 2210. This video showcased how we will consist in the same mistakes that Jared Diamond had anticipated and the down fall of any/every civilization.
ReplyDelete2. The ruins may help the scientist determine why the civilization collapsed because, their misstep may illustrates their downfall. May give them a sense of growth in society. May impact them on how their government was structured.
3. The connections between the political success and the collapse are, the decisions you make May affect you in the future.
4. I disagree with the scientist being, We have grown in society, the structure of our civilization is mighty and,we have expanded in technology their for I believe our civilization is to stable to fall.
5. The two civilizations had natural material to build from and was a very stable civilization.
6. More materials were used in building and creating many different structures which had decreased their materials for anything else.
7. The major climate change and the way they depend on certain inventory is the downfall and last straw to their civilization.
8. The Anasazi had mistaken them selves by choosing where they had built their civilization and many mistakes were made throughout their journey.

1-the documentary telling us about how Jared diamond seen the collapse of this empire and what he also believe in.

3-The relation between the potential success and the falling of a society and the decisions they made it to help everyone improve.
4.I agree in a blue moon the leader could come and change his mind that could destroy the economy. I believe that because the large amount of pollution that's in the air because of humans and cars that can be bad for the earth and our ozone layer.
5.I believe that the reason they collapse was because they were so focus on how good they were doing but were not focusing on ever failing or collapsing.
6.it fell because they were having so much newborns and more people coming in that they had to build homes for them to sleep and stay but they were not stable homes because they didn't have enough resources
7.When rain started and not falling the people started not believing in the government because there were no more rain and the climate was not changing so they stop having faith in them or trusting them.
8.I think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because you can't control whether or change the climate around you.The people couldn't have done anything to stop the drought.
9.The Anasazi dedication to re make the collapsed society that was placed in smaller homes /groups called pueblos and the irrigation systems helped them collect water.
10. I think they're telling us this because they don't want the United States to fall into the same position that they were in there taking notes of this because the United States is suchA well built society that they don't wanted to collapse so they're preparing for for failure also

1. This document is told in a second person point of view because the commentary said it was based on a book written by Jared Diamond and Jared was shown being interviewed multiple times Also the documentary was talking about the collapse of a empires in history. 2.Ruins can help determine why a civilization collapsed because a scientist like paleontologists may be able to use new found fossils to link it back to a species and its habitat and the cause of its downfall. The ruins can determine what type of tools the society used and its resources need to survive for example they might have have an unfortunate drought and were unable to survive . 3.The connection between potential success or collapsing is the choices we as a nation make we can either become a wealthy successful nation or be a weak bankrupt country ran by a tyrant and make poor decisions that cause the downfall of each and every one of us as a nation. 4.There is a possibility that our nation can fall apart and collapse because for multiple reasons such as tyrants some people trying to be elected for presidents who intend to abuse there power for reasons such as using taxes for personal reasons invading peoples privacy such as tapping wires and just people who just want to be strong and powerful and forget about the people. 5. What makes the Anasazi and Chaco Canyon so impressive is that grew in the dry lands of southwest america and learned how to farm in the dry lands. they were always prepared for droughts they stored water in holes and ditches. 6. the rapid population growth meant more buildings were built, stores, houses tearing down trees to build them or destroying stuff for space also apartments, more cars which means more gas which is bad pollution which resulted in less nature and more human damage to the environment. 7.The 50 year drought was the last straw because there was no rain which meant no water supply for 50 years and you cant control the weather as they previously believed there people could and were so extremely incorrect and suffered this strange dangerous drought. 8. The collapse of the anasazi was inevitable because you cannot control the weather and no one can save themselves from 50 year drought. 9.one of the solutions that worked for Anasazi rebuilding attempt was irrigation systems that helped them collect water so if a drought did happen again they were prepared . 10. A lesson modern day U.S.A can learn from the story of Anasazi is prepared for the unexpected because theirs never been a drought that severe as the 50 year drought so always be prepared and even after you take a loss be dedicated and try to rebuild for your nation

4. I agree because based off of our choices or bad decisions that we make our nation can slowly or quickly collapse.

6. It begun because while the population was increasing the resources were decreasing.
7. Because they were strongly depending on the rain.
8. I think it was unavoidable because the people of the Anasazi civilization couldn't make it rain and that was one of the main problems of the collapse.

ReplyDelete2)Ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed because they can tell you if they had the right supply, if they were geographically lucky or if they had friendly neighbors.
3)The connection between potential success or collapse is it can make or break the society.
4)I disagree because we have globalization so we are very dependent on each other.
5) The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon was so impressive because they built complex building without advance technology.
6) The cause is the population rising while the effect is they don't have a enough resources because of the drought.
7)They needed rain because it was probably they're only water source.
8) It was unavoidable because they can't change the weather.
9) The civilization splits up into pueblos then they look for a place with geographic luck
10) Learn from your mistakes
The perspective from who the documentary is told from is Jared Diamond in second person.
ReplyDeleteRuin's can help scientists help determine why a civilization can collapse finding civilization's weaknesses, the population and structure of government.
The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make is that they can either ruin their empire or country or make it a success. For example when civilizations don't care for their plants that can be a whole food source gone with nothing for them to eat.
Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. I disagree because I feel that if we can make inventions that benefit society we can also evolve with our inventions by making it both benefit society and the environment.
What made the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive was their size in population and how well they used up their resources.
Rapid population growth and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi by having to build more shelters without enough resources and beasts of burden.
The 50-year drought was the “last straw” because they didn't have enough water for everyone.
Based on the video I thought the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because they weren't in a good spot geographically, they didn't have any animals to rely on and droughts due to where they were located.'
The solutions that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society was their irrigation system. They did this because it helped them get water.
The lessons that a modern nation like the United States could learn from the story of the Anasazi is to be aware of environmental surroundings and create inventions that benefit society and at the same time it's environment.
1. The document was told by 2nd person point of view because they talked about how the civilization collapsed and the interviewed Jared Diamond
ReplyDelete2. Ruins can help scientist determined how a civilization collapsed by showing how weak the government was.
3.the connection between the potential success and collapse of a society and the decision shows how a society can either be weaken or stronger
4. I disagree because I feel that our society is to strong to ever collapse
5.what makes these two civilizations impressive is there high population
6.the population was to high and caused a drought
7.the 50 year drought was the last straw because the people from the civilization started to not trust the government.
8.it was unavoidable because no one can control how the weather is .
9. The solution that worked for the civilization was irrigation system and the pueblos
10. A lesson the U.s can learn is to always be prepared

ReplyDelete1. This document is being told in the second person view because he is talking about the collapse of the empire and he's quoting/interviewing Jared Diamond.
ReplyDelete2. The ruins can help the scientists determine why a civilization collapsed by help them understand what they had planned for themselves at the time and what their mistakes were. They can see the damages as a result of those mistakes.
3. The connection between the collapse of a society and the decisions they make is one mistake can bring ruin to a society in a chain reaction.
4. I agree that our modern industrialized nation can fall apart because the majority of our resources come from trade in other countries and that can stop. Our nation is a target for terrorization and that can lead to war. Also our climate can change over the years.
5. The thing that makes these two civilizations so impressive is their ability to adapt to their environment and their large population.
6. The rapid growth in population began the collapse of the Anasazi because since they had so many people they needed more homes and more food but they they didn't have enough resources for everyone.
7. The 50-year drought was the "Last Straw" because leaders became corrupt and untrustworthy, making the people insecure.
8. I believe the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because they didn't have geographic luck. They couldn't take care of their people because of their growth in population. Also they had bad leaders in the drought.
9. The Anasazi attempted to rebuild their society by splitting them into small groups called "Pueblos" and connecting them through an irrigation system.
10. The United States can learn a thing or two from the story of the Anasazi. We can learn to appreciate and use our resources better and choose better leaders to run our country.
1. This documentary revolves around scientists' belief that in eventuality our nation will fall similarly to the downfall of the Anasazi civilization due to the mistakes we can make in our societal development.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins explain a civilization's downfall through:
a. Showing the size of the civilization, overpopulation can lead to downfall.
b. Art and architecture can show how the civilization was systemized.
c. The debris from ruins display that a natural disaster took place or the severity of the climate at certain instances.
3. Potential success and Collapse can both result from the circumstances that are shaped by a society.
4. I agree with the expert's predictions because:
a. If America does not maintain a good relationship with its allies by not lending resources of assistance to them it can lose support.
b. The nation can be poorly led and set up for demise by a new president.
c. Destruction could start from within, members of our nation can defect to the American cause, rampaging and hurting society.
5.The Anasazi Civilization and the Chaco Canyon were both made from nothing, and no technology was utilized to create the architecture.
6. As the Anasazi population expanded, the size of the population outnumbered the amount of resources available that were available.
7. The 50 year drought was the last straw because a lack of rain discouraged agriculture, which stopped food production, transitioning into not only drought but famine.
8. The Anasazi's downfall was unavoidable due to their ineffective weather dances, which did not change nature's course. Also, the absence of water prevented food production, and growing crops was the only food obtaining method.
9. An important solution the Anasazi found was the farming on dry land. Additionally the Anasazi learned to stockpile water in ditches and holes. Therefore, in event of a drought they would be prepared for the worse.
10. A lesson the United States can learn from the Anasazi is to always be prepared for a variety of crises.
1.this documentary is told by the narrator talking about ruins that have collapse and researchers wonder if our towns will collapse in the future.
ReplyDelete2.After the sixth century the Anasazi of chaco canyon and other settlements abandoned hunting and gathering and started cultivating crops such as maize. In order to grow maize they needed rain, but the area was dry and rain that did fall was kept and used casually and effectively.
3.the connection is that they did succeed by making their ruins however the cause of the collapse was based probably because they had a low water supply which caused them to leave and abandon the ruins.
7.Because they needed water to survive and without they all would have died.
8.It was unavoidable because the place they were living in had a low precipitation which means no water, also temperatures may have increased which caused dehydration.
9.Some solutions worked like when they split up in to different groups and smaller groups had collected water.
10.To not have are built structures collapse and take care of our environment.
1. From what/ who’s perspective is the documentary told? Provide specific evidence from video that supports your answer.
ReplyDeleteThe economy and Jared Diamond is the perspective. The documentary told me that the economy can change with climate at the same time.
2.How can ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed? Explain and be specific with at least 3 different ways.
Ruins can help scientists determine a civilization collapse by:
1) seeing what caused the comet to come to earth
2) seeing what was the speed of the comet and why did the comet collapse on earth
3) why did it happen to earth
3.What is the connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make? Be specific and use examples from the video and your prior knowledge.
The connection between collapse of a society is that collapse is combined with the comet like for (Example)
In the movie "Deep Impact" the way the comet flow over the people was amazing but when it hit the ocean that's when I was stoked cause the water was so powerfully that it took down buildings and bridges.
4.Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. Do you agree or disagree with this claim? Explain using 3 different reasons.
I agree, because our modern fall apart quickly and slowly at the same time:
1)cars fall apart quickly and slowly at a the same time they fall apart because we use them everyday so that we can get to where we have to go
2) houses fall apart cause we decided that we will worry about the garden to be beautiful and on the inside it looks like hoarder( feeler of jonk)
3)family fall apart because we fight, argue, and have disagreements
5.What makes the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive? Describe in detail.
The Anasazi civilization and the Chaco Canyon so impressive that they both have something in common that they both are survivors and that they moved to state to state.
6.How did the rapid population growth and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi? Explain in detail using cause and effect.
The population growth increase in construction begin collapse of the Anasazi is that they increase their family's so that they can show their children how to survive for so long.
7. Why was the 50-year drought the “last straw”?
Drought the last straw is the civilization that is already weakened by their social and potential success.
8. Based on the video you think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable (unavoidable) or avoidable? Support your claim with 3 reasons and evidence from the video.
I think the collapse is inevitable because:
1) the survive of the Anasazi and Native America
2) the moved to state to state for family's to get food and water
3) the collapse on earth with the comet
9.Which solutions worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society and why?
The solution worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapse society is because they need homes to live in with their family's food to eat water to drink and jobs to support their family's.
10.What lessons can a modern nation like the United States learn from the story of the Anasazi.
The United States can't he learn that if a comet is coming please be prepared cause sometimes we can not be prepared at all times cause we are to scared to be prepared.
1-The video is being told by second person, i know this because their explaining the collapse of the civilization and JD is being interviewed.
ReplyDelete2-Ruins can help scientists learn about the collapse of a civilization by showing the population, a civilizations weakness, also by the location of the civilization.
3-The connection between the potential success and collapse of a society and the decisions they make by either ruining the civilization with bad decisions or advancing with good decisions
4-I disagree because the modern nation is more advanced and already learned from the past civilizations mistakes and will continue to advance.
5-The Anasazi civilization and the chaco canyon are both impressive because for a period of time the chaco canyon was inhabited with the Anasazi who adapted to the the canyon for a period of time.
6-The rapid population growth and increase in construction begins the collapse of the civilization because people begin to demand more resources.
7-The 50 year old drought was the last straw because the people needed the water to survive and the leaders were beginning to be untrustworthy to the people.
8-The collapse was unavoidable because there was no rain for 50 years, The people began to not trust the leaders and everyone ended up leaving to new civilizations.
9-They began to split up into groups called pueblos and set out for better lives.
10-A lesson that can be learned is to appreciate the resources we have and not to be too greedy.
1.Its the second person point of view because its showing us the collapse of the civilization and we get to see the reason why the civilization fell, the evidence is that Jared Diamond is being interview in the video and other scientist point of view.
ReplyDelete2. The structure of the civilization was weak. The buildings can help us see how people lived, and the population of people can show us how the civilization was. Scientist can look at these parts to determine why the civilization collapsed.
3. The connection between the success or downfall of society and the decision they make that is if you do something good in society you are more likely to rise as a society and if you make bad decisions than the society is most likely to fall. Decisions can be about food, government, economy. An example is Anasazi they moved from Chaco because there was a lot of drought but where they moved to had more drought.
4. I agree that our modern industrialize nation could fall apart because the presidential decisions, economic problems, and immigration problems. One reason government/laws can effect society, economy because without money we can't do anything, immigration problems like violence and lesser jobs an payment and restrictions.
5. They are impressive because they were build from natural rescuers, with no machines and it was build by hand.
6. The cause was that there was over population and a drought so the effect was that a lot of people didn't have money and they had to use their own land to build their own houses, thats why the economy fell.
7. It was a long time 50 years and the society was upset about the condition they lived in. They had no water and they had no one to help them, so the society separated.
8. The collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because they couldn't control the water, two they lived in a bad place they lived like in the desert of course the water was going to dry up and they won't have any of it, third over population occurred to many people and not enough houses,money,food/supplies/resources to keep them stable to stay alive. They separated and went to a worser place.
9.The solution was the irrigation system and the pueblos, because they were able to collect water and the pueblos made them live in smaller groups.
10. We have more rescuers and new technology to help our society to the Anasazi and try not to make the economy fall like spend money for unnecessary things.
1. The documentary this document was told would be in second person point of view. I w\came to this conclusion because Jared Diamond (An American Scientist) gives his perspective on how America is heading for a collapse .Specific evidence would include “we could collapse in several decades , based on the decisions we make “. In addition to that he also says “we are faced with a choice to fail or succeed, we can learn from the mistakes in the past and learn for our survival”.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapse for the reason that archaeologists will be able to look at in the future and see the beautiful ruins, and try to figure out where we went wrong.
3. The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions they made is that they would have to have a good strategy to survive. For example the Chaka civilization didn’t have a stable enough water supply, so they made irrigation systems. The irrigation system was used assist in the growing of agricultural crops, maintenance of landscapes, and revegetation of disturbed soils in dry areas and during periods of inadequate rainfall which the chaka civilization faced. The water was also used for personal purposes for example; water to cook food, bathing, fresh drinking water etc.
4. I think that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart in a couple decades because we are taking everything for granted. When I say this I mean we always play for another day but not our future. The population of the United States is currently 318.9 million, that’s a lot of mouths to feed. In places like Malaysia in sour then Mexico they are burning down burning down forests and decay of wood after logging contribute to the release of greenhouse gases this is an environmental impact . Another reason is that the government spends more time on the economy than anything else. Another factor could be is that the natural forces of climate can change at any time and it has nothing to do with us , we wouldn’t even know when its coming. Just like the Chaka civilization they unexpectedly got hit by a drought which had lasted for 50 years which wiped them out.
5. What makes them so impressive is that even though they didn’t have certain stuff they needed they were able to improvise and be successful. One thing also is that they buildings they made they didn’t have advanced technology like saws and hammers , heavy machinery everything was hand crafted.
6. Over the course of the years the population had grew oevrwhemlingly they were not prepared for . they did not built enough to hold their people .
7. Yes .The 50 year drought was the last straw due to the fact that the civilians were so aggravated that their the economy had fell aprt. This what something that they were living off of .They were too dependent so much on the in the economy. but they didn’t focus and worry about the social and living conditions and how this would have an impact on the environment.

1. From what/ who’s perspective is the documentary told? Provide specific evidence from video that supports your answer.
ReplyDeleteThis is from a second person perspective because a scientist is showing how our society would collapse in the near future.
2. How can ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed? Explain and be specific with at least 3 different ways.
Ruins and help scientists determine why a civilization by showing its weaknesses, and it population, and also were they are located.
3. What is the connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make? Be specific and use examples from the video and your prior knowledge.
The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make would be on the decisions they make and learning from past civilizations that collapsed.
4. Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. Do you agree or disagree with this claim? Explain using 3 different reasons.
I agree with this claim because if our allies leave us in time of war we would be left almost defenseless. Another reason would be is we stop being friendly to our trading counties because our country imports so much goods such as oil an with out it we wouldn't be able to live our normal lives. Also if we have a major natal disaster such as a hurricane on the coast of our county were are ports are that would be blocking trade.
5. What makes the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive? Describe in detail.
The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon are so impressive because they survived a large drought and they adapted to it.
6. How did the rapid population growth and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi? Explain in detail using cause and effect.
The over population caused a drought and there wouldn't be enough food for everyone and would later on cause famine if there is a growth in population.
7. Why was the 50-year drought the “last straw”?
The 50-year drought the "last straw" was a drought that happened and was unexpected and the people relied on the capital to "make it rain". The last straw was the last cause of the civilization to collapse that was already weak.
8. Based on the video you think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable (unavoidable) or avoidable? Support your claim with 3 reasons and evidence from the video.
The collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable, yes they were over populated but they were doing fine if the 50 year drought didn't happen. It was out of there power, they couldn't control the weather.
9. Which solutions worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society and why?
The best solution that worked for the Anasazi was that they broke up and simplified.
10. What lessons can a modern nation like the United States learn from the story of the Anasazi.
A lesson we could learn from this is to have a large supplies of goods and not spend as much money on things that are not really needed.
1) In this documentary, it is told from the second person perspective. Jared Diamond states his theory of collapse that america will soon fall apart.
ReplyDelete2)Ruins helps scientists determine why a civilization collapse by the population rate, the stability of the government, and the way how the people lived.
3)The connection between the collapse of the society and potential success are the decisions that the civilization make for what is best for them.
4) I agree that one day our civilization will collapse by being too dependent on technology, the wrong decisions that the government makes, and through climate changes. Because we depend on technology too much, we wouldn't know what to do or how to survive without technology. Through the decision that the people vote for or the government passes, our civilization can ended up ruining the next generation. Also, because of global warming, climates can change all of a sudden.
5) The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon are so impressive because they survived with the advance technology and adapted to its environment.
6) The population growth led to the collapse of the civilizations because there were too many people and not enough natural resources to build more structures.
7).The 50 year drought was the last straw because there was no rain which meant no water supply for 50 years. People can't control the weather as they previously believed that people could which is incorrect and lead to fall apart.
8) The Anasazi's downfall was unavoidable due to their ineffective weather dances, which did not change nature's course. Also, the absence of water prevented food production, and growing crops was the only food obtaining method.
9)The solution that worked for the civilization was irrigation system and the pueblos. That was because they were able to collect water and the pueblos made them live in smaller groups.
10) The lessons that a modern nation like U.S learn is that we have the technology to do things and they didn't. However, we should depend too much on technology and spend less money on useless things.
-Angel Kim-
1 this document is told from a second persons perspective. I know this cause there's a narrator and then there's Jared diamond and other people.
ReplyDelete2 the ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed cause of how much people is there to help build the structures, the kinds of tools to help build them, and the kind of gov't It had.
3 the connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions they make is that if nothing isn't being taken care of properly, then there's a chance that the civilization or empire can fall.
4 I disagree cause we are too advanced for that. We know too much about technology to not know what to do or how to handle ourselves. Lastly, cause there are people in this world who can advance it to make it better so that it wouldn't collapse.
5 what makes the anasazi civilization and chaco canyon so impressive is that there was to much people to help out with construction and many other jobs to keep the empires alive.
6 the rapid population growth and increase in construction begin to collapse cause of too much people starting to come. The effect of there not being enough resources to build big structures for everyone to live in.
7 the 50-year drought was the "last straw" cause there was problems with water and some of its gov't, which led people to split up.
8 based on the video, I think it was unavoidable cause of how the weather was and them not having enough space for others to live in the large structures they had built.
9 solutions that worked for the anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society was for them to be seperated In small groups called pueblos, which they would look at what they did wrong and try to fix it.
10 lessons that a modern nation like the U.S. can learn from the story of the anasazi is try not to use up all the resources for one thing.
1. This is told from a secondary source because Jared diamond who studies fallen empires.
ReplyDelete2.Ruin help determine why civilizations collapsed because it shows how the climate and how the weather is.
3.The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions is that you could do well in your civilization will succeed but if you don't take care of your civilization then your civilization will ruin.
4. I agree because if we get taken over then we lose everything.
5. they had both started from starch and now they are both modernized.
6. they had a huge population and a shelter for the people and not enough water.
7.the civilization was weakened by social problems.
8. I think that what happened was inevitable because you cant stop a drought.
9. The Anasazi split up into smaller groups and then realized the mistakes that they did.
10.This is good for the us because they can what mistakes others have done and learn form them so they could prepared.
Paul.Harnarain
1. This documentary is told from second person point of view. This is shown through the interview of Jared Diamond on the collapse of civilizations.
ReplyDelete2. Ruins can help determine reasons behind a civilizations collapse through exposing the challenges the civilization faced; weak points, allows understanding of governmental structure, and amount in population this society had to support.
3. The connection between the potential success or the collapse of a society is both make precarious decisions but they can either have a positive or negative outcome.
4. I agree with the claim that our modern nation could fail. We are an educated people. We are able to evaluate and avoid past issues that lead to our decline but we fail to use this advantage. Another reason is having good sources and not seeing the bad it can bring if not managed correctly. Our nation cannot stand on its own, we need others to help us so we don't fail. We are very dependent. For example, Although having good people to help out it great, it can also be the key to our demise. We need strong friendly neighbors but if any are weak and fail as a society, we can also fail; our collapse as a nation.
5. The Anasazi and Chaco Canyon civilizations impressive is their massive population and ability to adapt.
6. The rapid population growth and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi because when population increased resources decreased.
7. The 50 year drought was the"last straw" because the civilization waited for government to fix a non repairable problem, this was the "last straw" because it was the final thing to set off its collapse.
8. The collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable. I say this because their 50 years of drought couldn't be fixed, they allowed themselves to be over populated causing the drought to begin with, weather isn't in any ones control.
9. Some solutions that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society were breaking up into smaller civilizations called Pueblos'.
10. A lesson a modern nation like the United States learn from the story of the Anasazi is to plan for the worst; plan ahead so you never reach close to your collapse.
1. This document based video is told from the second person view because it's telling us about the collapse of this empire and is quoting and interviewing Jared diamond
ReplyDelete2. Ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapse because it shows the geographic location of the place, the resources they had around them and how did they use the resources around them.
3. The connection of potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make choose the fate of the society, it can make or break it.
4. I agree with this because , if they builded something man made and it was able to collapse everything , it make u think what else could collapse .
5. The thing that makes both civilizations impressing is that they had less resources and large populations and not enough living space.
6. Since there was and increase in population they began building bigger structures which were too much to maintain and more people mean resources being used.
7) The 50 year drought was the last straw because it caused the people to completely lose faith and trust in their government. It was the "higher powers" job to make it rain and bring water for the people.
8. It could have been avoidable if their population wasn't so high
9) The pueblos were what helped the Anasazi attempt to rebuild the city . They pueblos helped because as they built the city they remember all the mistakes they made and helped the Anasazi to rebuild their environment according to their mistakes .
1. The documentory is told from someone else's point of view
ReplyDelete2.the ruins could have left a journal that described the past civilization how they worked what they did that caused the drought and how they were to there environment.
3.the potential collapse could be similar to what made the civilization strive because they could have been hurting there civilization with the same things they were building it with.
4.i agree that our civilization can fall apart because we already do not take care of the earth like we are supposed to. It can also fall apart from us not taking care of our environment and we could also end up financially unstable and collapse.
5. Both civilizations are impressive because they both started with nothing and built there way up and they had no like machines they had regular tools and still built the structures they did.
6. The cause of the collapse was do to them taking on more than they can handle and getting over populated and the effect of that was they collapsed.
7.the 50 year drought was the last straw because they had no source of water so they couldn't live so they had to form into smaller civilizations and leave.
8. I think the collapse was unavoidable because u can't make it rain and u can't make a drought end.
9.the irrigation system helped them because it gave them a way to have water
10.the United States can learn a lot from there mistake like to treat our environment the correct way and to not over populate and take on more than we can handle.

ReplyDelete1. From what/ who’s perspective is the documentary told? Provide specific evidence from video that supports your answer.
ReplyDeleteThis documentary is told from a 2nd persons perspective. Jared Diamond, along with other scientists are being interviewed.
2. How can ruins help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed? Explain and be specific with at least 3 different ways.
Ruins can help scientists determine why a civilization collapsed by looking at the location of the civilization, the population, and the weaknesses. Bad decisions make it easier for a civilization to collapse.
3. What is the connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make? Be specific and use examples from the video and your prior knowledge.
If a society makes good decisions, then there is a better chance of survival and success.
4. Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. Do you agree or disagree with this claim? Explain using 3 different reasons.
I agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. The economy is not great right now, although minimum wage is being raised, the cost of living is increasing and people still can’t afford to live. A lot of jobs are being subcontracted to other countries, or even to robots. People rely too much on computers.
5. What makes the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive? Describe in detail.
The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon are so impressive because of their population. They were able to use their brains and their hands to improve themselves.
6. How did the rapid population growth and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi? Explain in detail using cause and effect.
The rapid population growth and increase in construction began the collapse of the Anasazi because they were not able to provide what they needed to survive. There were too many people and not enough buildings to maintain because they didn’t have enough resources.
7. Why was the 50-year drought the “last straw”?
The 50-year drought was the “last straw” because the people were told that the government was in control of the water and began to stop believing in the government.
8. Based on the video you think the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable (unavoidable) or avoidable? Support your claim with 3 reasons and evidence from the video.
Based on the video I think that the collapse was inevitable because the population was too high, the 50-year drought, and there were not enough resources for everyone.
9. Which solutions worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society and why?
Building Pueblos worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuilt their collapsed society. Being in smaller communities makes it easier for people to work together and share resources.
10. What lessons can a modern nation like the United States learn from the story of the Anasazi.
A modern nation like the United States can learn from the story of the Anasazi is that resources should not be wasted
1) The perspective from who the documentary is told from a second person point of view.
ReplyDelete2) Ruin's can help scientists help determine why a civilization can collapse by finding a civilization's weakness, the population and structure of government.
3) The connection between the potential success or collapse of a society and the decisions that they make is that they can either ruin their empire or make it a successful. For example when civilizations don't care for their resources they waste them and not use them.
4) Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. I disagree because I feel that if a civilization or society can be stable, they will grow from there.
5) What made the Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon so impressive was their large population and the use of their resources.
6) overpopulation and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi by having to build more shelters without enough resources and beasts of burden.
7) The 50-year drought was the “last straw” because they didn't have enough water for the society.
8) Based on the video I thought the collapse of the Anasazi was inevitable because they weren't geographically lucky, they didn't have any animals to rely on and droughts due to where they were located.
9) The solutions that worked for the Anasazi as they attempted to rebuild their collapsed society was their irrigation system. They did this because it helped them get the water flowing.
10) The lessons that a modern nation like the United States could learn from the story of the Anasazi is to be aware of environmental surroundings and create inventions that benefit society.
1) This documentary is told from the second person view because it's telling us about the collapse of this empire and is quoting and interviewing Jared diamond
ReplyDelete2) Ruins helps scientists determine why a civilization collapse by the population rate, the stability of the government, and the way how the people lived.
3)The connection between potential success or collapse of the society is that society can be uplifted or society can be a downfall.
4)Many experts agree that our modern industrialized nation could fall apart. I disagree because I feel that if a civilization or society can be stable, they will grow from there.
5)The Anasazi civilization and Chaco Canyon are so impressive because they survived with the advance technology and adapted to its environment.
6)overpopulation and increase in construction begin the collapse of the Anasazi by having to build more shelters without enough resources and beasts of burden.
7)The 50 year drought was the last straw because there was no rain which meant no water supply for 50 years. People can't control the weather as they previously believed that people could which is incorrect and lead to fall apart.
8) I believe it was unavailable because natural disaster or weather period cannot be humanly controlled.
9)The solution was the irrigation system and the pueblos, because they were able to collect water and the pueblos made them live in smaller groups.
10)A modern nation like the United States can learn from the story of the Anasazi is that resources
1. this documentary is telling us about how this empire collapsed from jared diamond perspective.
ReplyDelete2.ruins help scientist determine collapse because its shows us the way they lived and if they were over populated or not.
3.the connection that can be found is society can be improved upon or just completely fall
4.experts agree that our modern nation can indeed fall apart and i agree because if anything happens we should always have a back up plans .
5.Both the Anasazi and the chaco canyon are impressive because of their adaptation to their environment and advanced technology.
6.the Anasazi collapsed because of overpopulation ,overpopulation lead to more shelters.
7. the 50 year drought lead to no water supply for 50 years .
8.i would say its unavailable because humans cannot control weather.
9.the solution to these problems was the pueblos and the irrigation system pueblos lead to small groups and irrigation helped them to be able to collect all the water they needed.
10.the u.s can learn dont waste valuable resources
1)the document is telling us how the empires collapse
ReplyDelete2) Ruins help sciences figure out civilizations collapse by showing us show they lived
3) society's could have a great decline or a great success
4) researchers agree to the fact that modern society's could collapse anyway
5) the Anasazi adapt to their environment and their technology so well
6) the Anasazi collapse because they had to much people
7) the droit led to no water for 5 years
8) it's unavailable because humans are no in control of weather
9) the pueblos irrigation system helped and they lived in smaller groups
10) we should not use our resources unwisely
1 The combination of the two negatively impacted china cause most of china's farmland became infertile.
ReplyDelete2-According to the video China is caught in a vice grip of competing choices like deciding what to do with overpopulation
3-According to the video Modern countries "cheated nature" by putting things on the crops to keep bugs and other pests away.
4-The modernization of food production can lead to a crisis in food production by us using to more water. When we use more water for producing food we are going low on water when people are already trying to get “blue gold”.
5-The food production, the energy crisis and the water crisis are all connected because without water you have no food without food you have no energy to work.
6-Food is the quickest trigger to collapse because food need food to live and do work.
7-Some solutions that jared diamond proposes to stem food crisis is we should only have locally grown food so the soil is not worn down
8- The dangerous catalyst that made the other crises we have discussed spiral out of control is a major shift in the climate.
9- I think people do not take climate change seriously because they believe that they can get past through it, little do they know is that it can really affect them at some point in their life, leading their nation to a future collapse.
10-Three valuable lesson from this documentary:
-always be prepared for the good and bad times.
-always be aware of climate change.
-should produce wisely on farmlands
